Rayong Province, a lush entryway to the natural wonders of the Gulf of Thailand, with more than 100 kilometre-long coastline. 1 Ao Khai (Khai Bay)

Location : Laem Maephim, Rayong Ao Khai Ao Kai is a little cape, situated in the Laem Mae Phim area near Rayong, Thailand, and is one of the prime real estate locations along Thailand's Golden Coast. Nearby is a small fisherman's village, in which the main occupation is to pickle jellyfish. Seafood restaurant here is well known among the tourists. Travelling to Ko Man Klang, can be done by taking a speedboat from here.

How to get there
From Rayong town take to route no. 3145 runs along the coast between Laem Mae Phim and Ban Phe. Ao Khai located beyond Laem Mae Phim to Klaeng District.

2 Ao Kiew Na Nai (Kiew Na Nai Bay)

Location : South West coast of Koh Samet Ao Kiew Na Nai Beach This bay is a perfect secluded den for those planning to keep their distance from the busy, crowded beaches and vibrant nightlife. From Ao Kiew Nok, visitors can actually walk to Ao Kiew Nai which is the ideal spot to see the spectacular sun rise and sun set.

3 Ao Kiew Na Nok (Kiew Na Nok Bay)

Location : South East coast of Koh Samet Ao Kiew Na Nok Ao Kiew Na Nok has the beautiful soft sand beach and clear water. The beach quite crowded and vibrant nightlife. From Ao Kiew Na Nok, you can actually walk to Ao Kiew Na Nai which is the ideal spot to see the spectacular sun rise and sun set.

4 Ao Klang (Klang Bay)

Location : North coast of Koh Samet Ao Klang Beach Ao Klang Beach located along the northern shore of Koh Samet is quite different to the tourist beaches down the two coastlines. The beach is quite narrow in the Southeast, and wide and sandy in the North. So there are few beachfront hotels, however those few will give a more 'Thai community' experience.

How to get there
From Rayong take the ferry from Seree pier at Ban Phe to Ao Noi Na, the ferry will stop at first. Ao Klang Beach located next to Ao Noi Na Beach.

5 Ao Lung Dum (Lung Dum Bay)

Location : East coast of Koh Samet Ao Lung Dum Beach Ao Lung Dam or Lung Dam Bay is a long and curved bay next to Ao Sang Thian, Koh Samet, a good atmosphere with some sandy and some rocky beach, perfectly for fishing. At Lung Dam Beach, you can see both sunrise and sunset, this is very romantic place for you. If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay on Koh Samet then Ao Lung Dam is a great choice.

How to get there
From Rayong take the ferry from Ban Phe pier to Ao Thian round-trip about 140 baht and Ao Lung Dam next to Ao Thian about 300 metre.

6 Ao Makham Pom (Makham Pom Bay)

Location : Kleang Distirct, Rayong Ao Makham Pom Ao Makham Pom is located in the Rayong Area of the Country of Thailand is rather quiet. 7 Ao Noi Na (Noi Na Bay)

How to get there
From Rayong take the ferry from Seree pier at Ban Phe to Ao Noi Na, the ferry will stop at first.

8 Ao Nuan (Nuan Bay)

Location : North East coast of Koh Samet Ao Nuan Beach Ao Nuan Beach is a small beach and the most secluded bay on all of Koh Samet. The beach quite rough and full with shells and stones and is ideal for escaping the crowds and relaxing on a small hidden-away beach. Tourist who love tranquility will choose to stay on this beach.

How to get there
To access this beach by foot from Ao Tubtim to the north or Ao Cho to the south.

9 Ao Pakarang (Pakarang Bay)

Location : South East coast of Koh Samet Ao Pakarang Beach The best place to experience the traditional lifestyle of the residents of Koh Samet is at Ao Pakarang Beach where there also are a number of seafood restaurants providing fresh seafood dishes at reasonable prices. You'll see the sunrise at the front door and found that sunset is behind at the back door!

10 Ao Phai (Phai Bay)

Location : North East coast of Koh Samet Ao Phai Beach Ao Phai Beach just walks about 15 minute from Sai Kaew Beach. The beach is popular for backpack tourist because Ao Phai known as the "Khao San" of Koh Samet. There are quite crowded and plenty of cheap guesthouses, hotels, restaurants and bars along the beach. At Ao Phai is the good idea for sunbathing but not recommended for swimming because there is whirlpool on the sea which notice from the area designated by the red flag.

How to get there
Ao Phai Beach located next to Sai Kaew Beach, just walk 15 minute.

11 Ao Prao (Prao Bay)

Location : North West coast of Koh Samet Ao Prao Beach Ao Prao is private beach and quietest beaches of Koh Samet. The beach is beautiful with the deep blue sea and white sand in the sunshine. You can watch the most beautiful spectacular sunset and enjoy great dinner from a lot of restaurants on the beach. Ao Prao has a long white sandy beach which is ideal for swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. 12 Ao Thian (Thian Bay)

Location : East coast of Koh Samet Ao Thian Beach Ao Thian is located between Ao Wong Duean and Ao Lung Dam. The beach quite to be natural with crystal water and tranquility beach. Ao Thian is know well in tourist group who love in the naturally and tranquility. Even this beach not popular same another beach but it is great for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkelling.

13 Ao Toei (Toei Bay)

14 Ao Tub Tim (Tub Tim Bay)

Location : North West coast of Koh Samet Ao Tub Tim Beach A small bay next to Ao Pai, which draws repeat visitors intent on relaxing and book reading, Suitable for those who are tired of crowded beaches and nightlife activities. Tub Tim beach offers a quiet retreat that reunites visitors with nature in its crystal clear calm waters and provides variety of many activities and special occasions. From candle-light celebrations, quiet get-away, seminars or even great wedding events, etc.

How to get there
Ao Tub Tim Beach located next to Ao Phai Beach, just walk 15 minute.

15 Ao Wai (Wai Bay)

Location : South East coast of Koh Samet Ao Wai Beach Ao Wai beach is quite privacy, scenic white sand, shaded by coconut trees and serene spot for sea lovers. The beach is great for swimming and sunbathing. Ao Wai has only Samet Ville Resort and one restaurant.

How to get there
Take the air-condition bus from Ekamai Bus Station and stop at Ban Phe in Rayong Province. Go to Koh Kaew Resort which located 250 meters from the bus station. From Koh Kaew Resort to Samet Ville Resort, Ao Wai, passenger boats leave everyday during high season.

16 Ao Wong Duean (Wong Duean Bay)

Location : East coast of Koh Samet Ao Wong Duean Beach Ao Wong Duean is the second largest beach on the island (the first being Hat Sai Kaew). Ao Wong Duean Beach attracts tourist groups during both the high and low seasons due to its beautiful white sandy beach and good accommodations. On top of this, good seafood restaurants with nice views are also available.

How to get there
Take the air-condition bus from Ekamai Bus Station and stop at Ban Phe in Rayong Province. Take the ferry from Naunthip pier at Ban Phe to Ao Wong Duean.

17 Laem Maephim (Maephim Cape)

Location : Klaeng District, Rayong Laem Maephim Laem Maephim is a small fishing town in Rayong province, just 25 kilometers east of Ban Phe. The beach long about 10 kilometers and have beautiful spot with a headland forming a magnificent backdrop to a crescent shaped bay with broad sandy beaches which are ideal for swimming. On the south of Laem Maephim have a lot's of nice restaurants overlooking the beach while on the north have a few high end Hotels in Laem Maephim and low end bungalows .

How to get there
From Rayong town take to route no. 3145 runs along the coast between Laem Maephim and Ban Phe, with magnificent views of the Gulf of Thailand and Koh Samed.

18 Mae Rumphueng Beach

Location : Mueang District, Rayong Mae Rumphueng Beach Mae Rumphueng Beach is a white sandy beach on the mainland. Mae Rum Peung beach is the longest beach on the eastern side of Rayong. The beach is slightly inclined and is situated in Khao Laem Ya-Koh Samet national park. 12 km of sandy beach has made it an ideal place for holiday making. Hotels in Mae Rumphueng Beach Area

How to get there
The beach is about 6 kms from Ban Pe, around 9 kms from the hi-way no. 2 and about 500 metres from the park headquarter.

19 Phala Beach

Location : Ban Chang District, Rayong PhalaBeach Phala Beach Connected to Phayun beach, the beach is very peaceful and suitable for swimming. There are some beautiful resorts and luxurious hotels along the 5 kilometre stretch of white sands. Take a stroll on the sandy beach, lounge around and sunbath, enjoy the view and unwind at Phala Beach.

How to get there
Phala Beach is located in Ban Chang district which is 34 kilometres from Rayong Town. Visitors can get to Phala Beach by a bus from Ban Chang and then take a sorngthaew to Hat Phayun.

20 Phayun Beach

Location : Ban Chang District, Rayong Phayun Beach Phayun Beach is connected with Phala Beach, the beach is peaceful and shaded by pine trees perfect for swimming and picnicking. Hotels and bungalows are available as perfect hideaways.

How to get there
Phayun Beach is located in Ban Chang district approximately 32 kilometers from Rayong Town.

21 Sai Kaew Beach

Location : North East coast of Koh Samet  Sai Kaew Beach Sai Kaew Beach or Hat Sai Kaew is the longest, most beautiful and most popular beaches on Koh Samet. The beach length around 1 kilometer and 25 - 30 meters wide. Sai Kaew Beach means Crystal Sand Beach, is a nice beach filled with activities. From dusk to dawn, visitors can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, jet skiing, windsurfing, riding on a banana boat or even partying at night. Accommodations provided include bungalows and villas.

22 Sai Thong Beach

Location : Mueang District, Rayong Sai Thong Beach Sai Thong Beach is also known as the Golden Beach and a romantic little slice of paradise with its palm-lined white a fine sandy beach. Sai Thong Beach is a peaceful secluded clean place, with bungalow-style accommodations along the beachfront as well as restaurants serving delicious fresh seafood.

How to get there
Drive about 12 kilometres along highway no. 3 in the direction of Sattahip District and turn off between kilometre posts 207-208 opposite the Maptaphut Market. Approximately 5.5 kilometres along this road is the beach.

1 Chan Island (Koh Chan)

Location : South of Samet Island, Show map Chan Island Chan Island is a smallest island in the national park and located in the most southern part. It offers a good lookout and popular sites for scuba diving.

How to get there
The Island are located about 5 kilometers off the south of Koh Samet and take about 20 minutes to reach by boat.

2 Hin Khao Island (Koh Hin Khao)

Location : Northeast of Samet Island, Show map Hin Khao Island Hin Khao Island is a small island. There is submerged rock in the north-eastern of Samet Island. Rocks found on the island are all creamy white. This rock is a nesting site for Terns. Visitors can snorkel and scuba dive at the site.

3 Kudi Island (Koh Kudi)

Location : East of Samet Island, Show map Kudi Island Kudi Island is one of the islands in Sun Thon Phu's literature (Sun Thon Phu is a Thai legendary Poet). It is situated on the east of Samet Island about 6 kilometers from the mainland, 8.5 kilometers from the park headquarters. The island covers the area of 0.16 square kilometers Two surrounding islands are Thai Khang Khao Island and Tham Ruesi Island. Kudi Island is a location for Ranger Station 3 (Ko Kudee). The island is full of serenity with beautiful beaches. Nin Mangkon Cliff on the steep rock in the south is a good place to look over wide ranging scenery. Coral reef is found around the island made it suitable site for snorkeling.

4 Kruai Island (Koh Kruai)

Location : North of Kudi Island, Show map Kruai Island The island group located about 600 metres in the north of Kudi Island. Kruai Island, Makham Island and Plaitin Island are connected by beach and cays in low tide. Plaitin Island is about 400 metres from Kruai Island, Makham Island. Sand Dunes and beautiful coral reef are found surrounding Makham Island and Plaitin Island.

5 Talu Island (Koh Talu)

Location : East of Samet Island, Show map Talu Island The outstanding feature is the unique form of the island that given its name. In the north, rocky cliff project out in the sea look like natural bridge. The sea current runs through the hole underneath the bridge. White and sandy beaches are found in the east and the south in which two areas are excellent for camping. Large coral reef is found in underwater world surrounding Koh Talu especially in front of the beach. This made it a great site for snorkeling and scuba diving. The island is also home to Terns and Flying-Fox that found living in large number.

How to get there
Talu Island is situated about 6 km from Kudi Island.

6 Mun Klang Island (Koh Mun Klang)

Location : Klaeng District, East of Samet Island, Show map Mun Klang Island Koh Mun Klang is one of the popular place for foreigners which like the quiet island and comfortable resort. Koh Man Klang was high mountain s in the middle with two beaches; one in the south east and other in the northeast, ideal for swimming. There is a trail to the viewpoint in the west that offers a panoramic view from Koh Mun Nai to the shore. Diving for shallow-water coral is possible in the north of island.

How to get there
The Island are located about 6 kilometers away from Laem Tan Pier and take about 30 minutes to reach by chartered speed boat or fisherman boat at Laem Tam Pier.

7 Mun Nai Island (Koh Mun Nai)

Location : Klaeng District, East of Samet Island, Show map Mun Nai Island Mun Nai Island is second largest island in Rayong. Koh Mun Nai is under the Navy’s care with Sea Turtle Reserve Station under the Queen's command. The recreation part is the north of the island. Had Na Ban is the only spot allowed for swimming apart from a trail round the island for scenery viewing. There is no accommodation and facilities to serve.

How to get there
The Island are located about 7 kilometers away from Laem Tan Pier and take about 30 minutes to reach by chartered speed boat or fisherman boat at Laem Tam Pier.

8 Mun Nok Island (Koh Mun Nok)

Location : Klaeng District, East of Samet Island, Show map Mun Nok Island Koh Man Nok is a private island, peaceful and the most beautiful beaches of Rayong. Koh Man Nok beach is soft, clean sand, safe swimming area and perfect for sunbathing. You will felt so relax, Mun Nok Island it has mountains and forest in the middle, with long white sandy beach stretching from the northwest to the east, ideal and safe for swimming with a view of sunrise. The Island is worth while exploring, with its crystal clear water and pearl, sandy beaches which offer secluded sports for sunbathing or swimming. Accommodations are available.

How to get there
The Island are located about 11 kilometers away from Laem Tan Pier and take about 45 minutes to reach by chartered speed boat or fisherman boat at Laem Tan Pier.

9 Samet Island or Koh Samet

Location : Gulf of Thailand, Southeast of Bangkok and Pattaya, Show map Samet Island or Koh Samet Koh Samet is a beautiful small island in Rayong province and not far from Bangkok, just 200 km. Koh Samet is part of the Khao Laem Ya and Koh Samet National Park. The island is very popular destination for Thais and foreigners so there are dozens of beach resorts,bars and restaurants on nearly every beach. You can enjoy the excellent weather on the island and appreciate its great natural beauty, home to exotic wildlife species including monkeys, hornbills, gibbons, and butterflies.

How to get there
Take the air-condition bus from Ekamai Bus Station and stop at Ban Phe in Rayong Province. From Ban Phe there are numerous ferries running back and forth between Ban Phe and Koh Samet. The ferry schedule varies depending upon the destination on Koh Samet. The ferry, leaving for Na Dan Pier, departs from Ban Phe every hour and vice versa.
